Nordea's Three Stock Picks For Gender Equality
Julie Bech and Audhild Asheim Aabø, managers of the Nordea 1 - Global Gender Diversity fund, reveal their three favourite companies putting gender diversity at the heart of their business practices.
In 2015, the United Nations (UN) adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a blueprint for a more sustainable future the world over.
With the fifth goal focused on gender equality, the managers of the Nordea 1 - Global Gender Diversity fund, which launched last month, have identified three stocks demonstrating a particular commitment to gender equality.
Bech and Aabø have recognised that - as well as its worth from a social perspective - the economic power of gender equality economically cannot be underestimated.
The duo said: "As companies increasingly recognise greater female representation pays off for shareholders, the push for gender diversity is being seen as a driver of corporate value creation and competitive advantage.
"Through our Nordea 1 - Global Gender Diversity fund, we are looking for companies at the forefront of gender diversity."
