Investment Week Reveals Winners Of Women In Investment Awards 2023

Now in their seventh year, the Investment Week Women in Investment Awards continue to have a vital role to play in helping accelerate the pace of change towards a more diverse and inclusive investment industry.

This year, we were pleased to receive over 1,000 nominations from across the industry for over 800 individuals. Categories this year included Diversity & Inclusion Champion of the Year, Investment Industry Diversity & Inclusion Initiative of the Year and Mentor of the Year.

We celebrated the achievements of our winners at a special ceremony at The Brewery in London, hosted by comedian Zoe Lyons.

Our charity partner for the evening was The Girls' Network, which has a mission to inspire and empower girls from the least advantaged communities by connecting them with a mentor and a network of professional role models who are women.

We would like to thank our judging panel, drawn from across the investment industry, for sharing their expertise to support these important awards and choosing our finalists. You can view the judges here.

In particular, our judges considered the impact made by the nominees over the past 12 months at firm and/or wider industry level and how they have gone above and beyond their day job to make a difference.

Outstanding Contribution to the Industry Award

We were also pleased on the night to award the Outstanding Contribution to the Industry Award to Anne-Marie McConnon.

Anne-Marie was a role model and mentor to many people in the industry and used her senior position to be a vocal champion for diversity & inclusion within the sector and beyond. She was described as a ‘trailblazer' as she pushed for change at a time when D&I was not as high on the agenda as it is today.

Anne-Marie had the ability to bring people together and create a sense of belonging and an environment where everyone was supported to succeed. She embodied everything Investment Week is trying to recognise with these awards.

Investment Week also announced during the awards ceremony that we will dedicate this award to Anne-Marie in the future to inspire all those women coming through to challenge the norm, support others to succeed, as well as lead with compassion.

From next year, this award will be called the Anne-Marie McConnon Outstanding Contribution to the Industry Award in recognition of her remarkable achievements.

Congratulations to all our winners!
