Fundhouse Hires Fund Research Veteran Peter Brunt

Brunt has 18 years of fund research experience, having been head of manager research at Schroders Personal Wealth and associate director of equity strategies at Morningstar. Before that, he worked as an associate direct at Standard & Poor's Capital IQ fund research team.

In his new role, he will help manage the fund research function and ESG elements of the firm, as well as giving investment input to the Fundhouse model portfolios.

Brunt said: "I joined Fundhouse for a variety of reasons. Ultimately, I was drawn to Fundhouse because it stands for the same things I do, namely detailed evidence-based fund research, an emphasis on doing good and, in an industry with many conflicts of interest, its unwavering independence.

"When I was a client of Fundhouse, I saw first-hand that Fundhouse is a true flag bearer of detailed, independent fund research and I can't wait to start."

Rory Maguire, co-founder and managing director of Fundhouse, added: "Seldom do you get the opportunity to hire industry veterans like Peter, who have a fabulous combination of experience, with high levels of motivation.

"Those that know him all echoed how independent and rigorous his fund research was and that resonated so well with our approach. Peter is also highly committed to his charitable endeavours, something that aligned well with our ethic of placing principle over profit.

"He is also incredibly passionate and well-versed in ESG, a real focus of ours. We are thrilled to welcome Peter to the team at Fundhouse and cannot wait for him to start."
