Following the launch of an Israeli and US attack on Iran on Saturday 28 February, retaliatory strikes against military bases in countries including Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq and Saudi Arabia has seen airspace closures across the region.

While these countries are working to intercept missiles, falling shrapnel has caused damage and injuries. The UAE's Defence Ministry has said at least three people have been killed since attacks began.

Embassies are urging anyone in affected countries to follow instructions from local authorities, which include sheltering in place and avoiding travel.

Residents are also being told to register with the embassy to receive updates and, if necessary, so that they can provide assistance.
