Maitha Alnuaimi, the director of the GIS Center department at Dubai Municipality, stands out as Dubai’s pioneering female Emirati drone pilot with a specialization in 3D mapping. After rigorous training, she secured her professional drone pilot license from the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority.
In 2012, Maitha Alnuaimi graduated with distinction from UAE University with a bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). She holds dual master’s degrees in city science and big data, along with business analytics. In 2019, she completed her studies at the National Program of Artificial Intelligence. By 2021, she earned recognition as one of the top 20 young talents under 35 in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
