Marriott International and hotel management, investment and development firm Highgate have announced the grand opening of Renaissance Honolulu Hotel & Spa in downtown Honolulu.

Situated near the world’s largest open-air retail complex, Ala Moana Center, and the capital’s cosmopolitan coastline, the 39-storey property features 187 guestrooms and suites, as well as 112 residences with panoramic ocean and mountain range views.

As one of Renaissance Hotels’ featured services, the on-property Navigator serves as a neighborhood ambassador and can connect guests with local experts as well as help them discover the best things to savour, shop and see across the island.

Renaissance Honolulu & Spa will play host to Uhiwai Spa, home to Oahu’s first traditional Japanese ofuro indoor and outdoor soaking tubs, Himalayan salt saunas, steam rooms and cold plunge baths.

In addition, concierge service includes a daily Mercedes shuttle for easy exploration and customised pre-arrival groceries delivered via room service.

On the culinary front, MARA will offer Mediterranean cuisine prepared with local ingredients by chef Michael Ocampo and chef Franz Wohlrab. The restaurant will serve family-style tapas, grilled meats and fresh seafood along with a full-service bar and lounge, which includes al fresco dining.

The Coral Club lounge, located on the 15th floor, serves breakfast, midday refreshments, evening hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, while SWAY, an expansive pool, deck, bar and grill, showcases locally-inspired al fresco dining.
