Iberia has published its flight schedules for this summer, with planned resumption of flights to Gatwick and Manchester next month.

Over 50 domestic and European destinations will be served this summer, but there is no mention of long-haul routes – in late May the carrier said that these would follow “as soon as conditions allow and quarantine and travel restrictions are lifted in the countries served by Iberia”.

Within Spain, Iberia is now flying to/from Alicante, Almeria, Asturias, Bilbao, Granada, Jerez, La Coruna, Madrid, Malaga, Pamplona, Santander, San Sebastian, Santiago de Compostela, Seville, Valencia and Vigo, as well as the Canary and Balearic Islands destinations of Gran Canaria, Tenerife North and South, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, La Palma, Majorca, Menorca and Ibiza.

European destinations now include Amsterdam, Athens, Bologna, Brussels, Copenhagen, Dublin, Dubrovnik, Stockholm, Geneva, Lisbon, London Heathrow, Lyon, Marseille, Milan, Munich, Paris Orly, Porto, Rome, Toulouse, Venice and Zurich.

These will be joined by flights to Berlin, London Gatwick, Manchester, Paris CDG and Prague in August.

Iberia has also published a number of pre-flight, airport and inflight measures it is taking to ensure passenger safety in the light of Covid-19.

These include health a “Health Tracking Form” and “Health Questionnaire” for flights abroad, encouraging checked luggage by removing charges “in order to avoid unnecessary movements aboard the aircraft”, boarding by rows, mandatory face masks inflight for all those above the age of six, increased cleaning and disinfection of aircraft, extra supplies of hand wash in the toilets, disinfectant wipes being issued to all passengers, and a “simplification” of the inflight food service.
