Air Arabia Egypt has said that it will begin direct flights from Alexandria in Egypt to the city of Madinah in Saudi Arabia starting next month.

On October 31, it will commence twice-weekly operations connecting Borg Al Arab airport and Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International airport.

Madinah would therefore become the tenth city that Air Arabia Egypt flies to in Saudi Arabia. Its other destinations in the kingdom include Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Tabuk, Taif, Al Jouf, Hail, Abha and Gassim.

The services will be operated by its fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 neo-LR aircraft. Bookings for these flights are now open.

The schedule of these flights are as below:

Flight Departure Time Arrival Time Aircraft Frequency
E5 432 Alexandria 04:15 Medinah 07:10 Airbus A320 Mon, Wed
E5 433 Medinah 08:00 Alexandria 09:20 Airbus A320 Mon, Wed

“We are glad to add Madinah to our growing network from Egypt, offering our travellers with direct connectivity between both cities. We are confident that the new service will further contribute to the overall travel and tourism sector of Egypt and Saudi Arabia through providing an affordable and value-driven travel option to passengers traveling between the two countries,” said Adel Al Ali, group chief executive officer at Air Arabia.

In related developments, the Air Arabia Group recently said that it had entered into a joint venture with Sudanese conglomerate Dal Group, to launch a new company called Air Arabia Sudan.

It will be based in Khartoum International airport and will follow the low-cost business model of the Air Arabia Group. Air Arabia Sudan will operate a fleet of new Airbus A320 aircraft.
