ZTE Supports AI With Full-stack IT Offering

ZTE is supporting large-model AI use cases with a full-stack set of computing infrastructure solutions. These include high-performance training servers, cost-efficient inference servers, AI computing all-in-one AI computing appliances, a series of general-purpose computing servers, and high-performance file storage solutions
"These offerings address diverse intelligent computing deployment needs from datacenters to edge nodes, with proven applications across telecommunications, internet, and financial sectors," says Quan. "ZTE is also collaborating with industry partners to advance open standards for high-speed GPU interconnection, developing next-generation hyper-connected computing servers."
ZTE's customers have deployed these server and storage solutions across 105 countries and regions, with total shipments surpassing 300,000 units in 2024. This has helped double overseas market revenue. It has made bulk shipments to emerging markets including Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Algeria, while gaining market share in other markets such as Japan, South Korea and Singapore.
A new growth cycle in cloud computing
Generative AI and large model applications are creating a new growth cycle in cloud computing. GlobalData forecasts that the global cloud computing market will surpass $1 trillion by 2026. Quan describes how computing power is converging with AI, cloud computing, and ICT infrastructure.
"ZTE has maintained long-term strategic investments in cloud computing, developing comprehensive capabilities spanning computing, storage, networking, and cloud software," he adds. "It has earned widespread recognition in the telecommunications industry for its proven expertise in cloud solutions, while actively expanding its portfolio of IT cloud offerings."
ZTE also collaborates with industry leaders including Alibaba Cloud and Virtuozzo to deliver full-stack solutions covering public cloud, private cloud, and cloud resale solutions. This commitment enables ZTE to offer customers cutting-edge, cost-optimized cloud solutions.
Emerging markets such as Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa represent the world's fastest-growing cloud computing territories, driving the next wave of digital infrastructure expansion. ZTE hardware and local services combined with Alibaba Cloud's cloud platform and ecosystem advantages have unlocked multiple markets across these regions.
Converged infrastructure unlocks cloud possibilities
Organizations are increasingly adopting hybrid cloud strategies combining hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) with public and private cloud platforms to enhance workload flexibility. At CloudFest 2025, ZTE and Virtuozzo announced their strategic partnership, introducing a HCI solution integrating ZTE's high-performance server hardware with Virtuozzo Hybrid Infrastructure and S3 object storage software. This collaboration aims to provide a cost-effective, efficient cloud infrastructure that is easy to deploy and manage, designed for alternative cloud service providers and enterprises worldwide.
AI will drive digital transformation across multiple sectors, Quan concludes. "The IT landscape in the AI era will undergo a fundamental transformation," he says. "It will evolve from the traditional paradigm of hardware, software, services, and cloud to a new framework comprising intelligent computing hardware, computing services, model services, and AI applications."
