Ingmar Przewlocka’s bullishness for the region is not only concentrated in the equities market, as he is also seeing attractive opportunities in the bonds space.

Schroders’ ISF Global Multi-Asset Balanced fund has shifted some of its equity exposure towards Latin American markets on the back of low valuations and surging commodity prices.

Portfolio manager Ingmar Przewlocka told Investment Week that the fund began taking long positions in the region's energy stocks at the start of the year in a bid to play with the global "structural imbalances" between supply and demand across the sector. The Latin American sector was posting an average loss of 3.3% for the ten years to the end of 2021, but over the last six months, it is up by 25.9%, according to FE fundinfo. In contrast, the IA North America sector has declined by 6.8%, while IA Global Equity Income is up by 2.3% and the IA UK Equity Income by 5.5%. Przewlocka's ...
