VIAA Snags New Member Agency

Valley Insurance Agency Alliance (VIAA) has announced that Missouri-based Insurance Plus has joined the alliance. Insurance Plus – which merged with VIAA member Mulligan Insurance – is the sister company of Accounting Plus, a full-service accounting and payroll firm.
Insurance Plus was recently founded by Accounting Plus owners Denise Nelson and Tina Marso. The agency specializes in commercial insurance, with a focus on “pay as you go” workers’ compensation policies, as well as home, auto and life insurance. The agency is headquartered in Columbia, MO. Mulligan Insurance owner Lance Hall recently joined the agency as director of operations.
“We are so excited about the opportunities that VIAA brings to our agency, and Lance’s background and expertise complement our agency and client’s needs,” Nelson said. “We look forward to Insurance Plus providing the same commitment and dedication that Accounting Plus has offered to the community for over 30 years.”
“The ability to partner with such a well-respected company within our community made the decision to merge very attractive,” Hall said. “I look forward to working with both current and future clients of Accounting Plus for many years to come.”
VIAA is a network of more than 130 independent insurance agencies in Missouri and Illinois, and is the regional founding member of the Strategic Insurance Agency Alliance (SIAA). VIAA generates more than $250 million in annual written premium.
