Starr Insurance Restructures Western Sales Team, Names New Leaders

Starr Insurance Companies has restructured its Western sales region, splitting the operation into two units – Pacific Northwest and Southwest – and naming new leaders to head them up.
Warren Puffer has been promoted to regional vice-president of the Pacific Northwest region, which consists of the San Francisco and Seattle offices. Puffer joined Starr in 2014 and has more than two decades of global insurance experience – both on the carrier and brokerage sides of the business. His insurance expertise includes P&C and surplus lines.
The Southwest region – comprised of the Los Angeles, Scottsdale, and Denver offices – will be led by Kelly Geoghegan, who has been promoted to regional vice-president of the area. She joined Starr in 2012, and has 17 years of insurance industry experience holding roles in risk management national accounts.
Both Puffer and Geoghegan will be responsible for the sales, distribution, and field leadership in those regions, a release said. They will also oversee broker and client relationships in their respective areas.
“These changes will ensure that we continue to provide top-quality service to our expanding client and broker communities,” said Starr Insurance Companies senior vice-president of sales and distribution Robert Cruz, who added that Starr is fortunate to have talents such as Puffer and Geoghegan to drive those efforts.
