SSL Endeavour acquires controlling stake in specialty aviation brokerage

SSL Endeavour (SSLE), a specialist independent Lloyd’s broker, has announced that it has signed definitive documents for the acquisition of a controlling shareholding in WorldLink Holdings, a North American specialty aviation brokerage and MGA.

Jonathan Palmer-Brown, SSLE group non-executive chairman, and David Lawrence, SSLE group CEO, will join the board of WorldLink Holdings.

“We are delighted to announce this investment in WorldLink, a business with unparalleled experience in the North American aviation insurance broking and risk advisory sector,” Lawrence said.

“This is a seminal event for the young WorldLink group, and by effecting this very important partnership with internationally renowned investment firm JC Flowers & Co and its international specialty broking investment, SSL Endeavour, we position our senior management team, led by Phil Gingell and Chuck Koehler, to respond rigorously to the many current challenges facing our clients in today’s aviation insurance industry,” said Charles Engel, WoroldLink chairman and joint CEO. “It is our intention to continue to build out methodically the existing team with selective, high-caliber industry individuals.”
