Renaissance Insurance adds new hires to Mid-Atlantic group benefits team

Renaissance Life & Health Insurance Company of America has expanded its group benefits sales team in the Mid-Atlantic region with two new hires.

Both Chris Morton and Tim Olsen have been appointed senior group sales executives for the team; they will help create “an exceptional benefits experience for their broker partners and employer group members,” a release said. Together, they bring more than 25 years of experience in the employee benefits industry.

A release said that in his new role, Morton will serve brokers in Maryland and Delaware. For the past 25 years, he has partnered with brokers in the Mid-Atlantic region. Morton is an employee benefits expert and top producer in the sale of dental, vision, life and disability products. He has a bachelor of science degree with a focus in business and finance from Frostburg State University.

The other senior sales executive, Olsen, will be supporting brokers in Virginia and West Virginia. He specializes in dental, vision, life and disability products, and has a background as a sales executive. Olsen’s first job in the insurance industry was as an underwriter. He earned his bachelor of business administration degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College. Olsen is also an active member of both the Baltimore Association of Health Underwriters and Greater Washington Association of Health Underwriters.

“With strong expertise in employee benefits, Tim and Chris will help to support our growth strategy by continuing to build relationships with brokers in the area and focusing on providing outstanding service to small- and medium-sized employer groups
