QBE North America names new CFO

QBE North America has announced the appointment of Christopher Castaldo as chief financial officer, subject to the completion of regulatory requirements. Castaldo will assume the role in March and will also serve as a member of QBE North America’s executive committee. He will be based in New York and will report to CEO Todd Jones.

Castaldo has nearly 20 years of experience in financial services and the property-casualty insurance sector. He has been with QBE for eight years. Prior to joining QBE, Castaldo served in a number of roles at AIG, including director of strategic planning and corporate development.

“Chris is a proven leader who (brings) a global perspective and deep financial acumen to his role,” Jones said. “I’m confident that his deep institutional knowledge gives him the lens necessary to continue to transform our finance function as we continue to evolve our business to build competitive strength in the marketplace and achieve profitable and sustainable growth.”
