Northwestern Mutual has been named one of the nation’s best employers for diversity by Forbes magazine. The company placed 33rd overall and fourth among insurance companies.
“We’re honored to be recognized by Forbes for our efforts to build an inspiring, diverse and inclusive culture,” said John Schlifske, chairman, president and CEO of Northwestern Mutual. “For Northwestern Mutual, creating a culture of inclusion and respect means we benefit from a wide range of employee perspectives, so that we can innovate and find the solutions that our clients need to feel financially secure.”
This is the second consecutive year that Northwestern Mutual has been included on Forbes’ diversity list. The list is based on the results of an independent survey of more than 50,000 US employees working for companies that employ at least 1,000 people nationally.
