Midlands Management Corporation, a wholesale insurance broker and program manager, has announced that Jennie Reed has accepted an expanded role as the binding and brokerage unit team leader.
In her expanded role, Reed will help streamline operations, improving the agent/broker experience and satisfaction. A release added that she will also create and improve the unit’s business strategies.
Reed has more than 20 years of experience in the industry, first serving as a commercial account manager at an independent insurance agency. She continued to gather experience at wholesale brokerage houses, picking up expertise in commercial brokerage, contract underwriting, sales and building agency relationships. Reed has been credited for the expansion and development of Midlands’ brokerage offerings and market share.
“Jennie’s knowledge of our industry, operational experience and acumen have proven above par,” said Midlands Management executive vice-president Colin Caldwell in a statement.
Colin explained that Reed’s skillset could best be utilized in her new and expanded role, to drive not just the company’s growth and market share, but also that of the agency force and their clients.
