JMG Group Makes Double Swoop

Knightsure Insurance Brokers in Southampton and T I Alexander Insurance Brokers in Bo’ness have joined the JMG Group roster.
The deals, financial terms of which were not disclosed, are JMG Group’s first for 2023. The acquired businesses bring a combined gross written premium (GWP) of £3.3 million. TI Alexander, in Scotland, will form part of JMG Group company Greenwood Moreland.
“We are thrilled to bring these well-established and highly successful businesses, at opposite ends of the country, into our group,” said JMG Group chief executive Nick Houghton (pictured). “Adding such high-calibre industry professionals to our team gives us greater standing in the marketplace and additional wealth of knowledge and experience to tap into.
“Our deal with T I Alexander also demonstrates our commitment to investing in our acquired businesses so that they in turn can make sound investments and grow their offering.”
Managing director Tony Knight, who established Knightsure in 1990, will continue to lead the Hampshire broker, while former T I Alexander owner Scott Alexander is joining the Greenwood Moreland team.
“While Tony Knight and Scott Alexander are both a way off retirement, our group proposition gives them a ready-made succession plan that enables them to focus on the parts of the business they enjoy the most, while continuing to give their clients high levels of service,” added Houghton, whose camp places more than £200 million in GWP.
