Gallagher Acquires Interstate Insurance Underwriters

Arthur J. Gallagher has announced the acquisition of Shreveport, La.-based Interstate Insurance Underwriters. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Interstate Insurance Underwriters is a managing general agency that offers a variety of property-casualty coverages through agents and brokers across Louisiana, with a focus on general liability, property, garage and inland marine risks. Lawrence, Taylor and Logan Calhoun and their employees will remain in their current location and operate as a satellite of Risk Placement Services’ Covington, La., office. They will report to Joel Stinson, head of RPS’s Lawrence, Taylor and Logan Calhoun South Central region.
