Everest outlines dividend following profitable quarter

Everest Re Group, whose second quarter net income was $190.9 million, is once again the bearer of good news.    

The insurance group, headquartered in British island territory Bermuda, announced that its board of directors has declared a dividend of $1.55 per share for all shareholders of record as of September 02.

According to Everest, the dividend is payable on or before September 16.

During the second quarter, the company paid $61.9 million in common share dividends. So far this year, not including the newly announced dividend, Everest has paid $125.2 million.
