CFC Underwriting hires transaction liability head

CFC Underwriting has added Angus Marshall to its roster to serve as transaction liability practice leader.

The Norton Rose Fulbright alumnus joins from AIG where he focused on emerging markets transactions before leading the UK and London Market M&A (mergers and acquisitions) unit.

“CFC has built a unique and successful proposition in the transaction liability space – its performance has been nothing short of outstanding,” commented the key hire. “I’m excited to become part of the team as we look to grow our business in new US markets and develop our rest of world capability.”

The London-headquartered provider offers a full suite of transaction liability insurance products including warranty and indemnity insurance as well as contingent and tax liability coverage.

“As one of the most experienced transaction liability underwriters in the London market, Angus brings a wealth of knowledge to our team,” stated CFC founder and chief executive Dave Walsh. “Our transaction liability practice has been one of our fastest growing lines of business.

“In less than three years of trading, CFC has become one of the top five underwriters of transactional insurance in the US. We’re excited to welcome Angus to lead our team as we look to expand our book not just in the US but further afield.”
