Alera Group Acquires Maryland-based FNL Insurance Group

Alera Group has acquired FNL Insurance Group – an insurance company that serves the Baltimore, MD region.
The transaction became effective August 01, 2020. FNL Insurance Group will join Alera through Silberstein Insurance Group (SIG), an Alera Group company. The FNL team will continue serving their current clients in their existing roles.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
FNL Insurance Group has been in business for more than 40 years, providing clients with employee benefit and healthcare insurance needs. Based in Timonium, MD, the company partners with small and mid-sized employers to develop sustainable benefits programs.

This is Alera Group’s third employee benefits-related acquisition this month. The firm previously acquired Alper Services in Chicago, IL and JDM Benefits in White Plains, NY.
