[Video] Mythbusting Some Common Stereotypes About The Dutch

If you’ve heard it once, you’ve heard it a thousand times: “Oh you live in the Netherlands? Everyone there is so rude and so cheap, and they bike everywhere and get high all the time, right?”. 

While this may be what people around the world think about the people of the Netherlands, but how true is it really? A couple of Dutch people got together to share their views on stereotypes and misconceptions about the Dutch.

How does the average Dutch person feel about people around the world assuming that they’re really frugal and direct to the point of being rude? Nine Dutchies discussed five different stereotypes about the Dutch, and shared some of the things they’d like their fellow countrymen to be known for.
