Someone who prefers to travel with your stomach? Then you might just want to check out this new ranking of the ultimate food and drinks tours across the globe.
Part of TripAdvisor’s 2026 Travellers’ Choice Awards, the newly unveiled rankings are based on reviews and ratings collected over the past 12 months.
“Food is at the heart of how we experience a destination, and these awards recognise the restaurant and culinary experiences travellers consider among the very best,” Laurel Greatrix, chief communications officer at Tripadvisor Group, said.
“From cooking classes with locals to incredible food tours and restaurants, these are the kinds of experiences that can become a highlight of a trip – or even a reason to take one.”
Topping the food tours list in Europe, and overall, is the Reykjavik food walk, which offers tastings of dishes like Icelandic hot dogs, cheeses and ice cream.
Taking place over three hours, guests visit half a dozen local spots, ranging from food trucks to fine dining restaurants, exploring the lesser-known cuisine.
On the wine and beers front, a Tuscany wine tasting tour in Florence came out second overall. The half-day tour takes you to different wine estates, with tastings of wine, olive oil, cheese and cured meats, and also including a traditional Tuscan lunch or dinner.
European experiences dominated both lists, with top options including a food and wine tour in Lisbon, a Greek food walking tour in Athens, and a historic pub tour in Prague.

Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards also ranked the best restaurants around the globe across categories including fine dining, hidden gems and plant-based meals.
The company has also introduced a ‘viral right now’ category, which includes trending eateries like London’s Dishoom, Banh Mi Huynh Hoa in Ho Chi Minh City and Cremeria Santo Stefano in Bologna.
