Bitwise Survey: 56% Of Advisors Bullish On Crypto

A survey was conducted by Bitwise Asset Management recently which indicates a significant shift in the financial advisors’ attitude towards cryptocurrency investments. The survey, which polled over 400 financial advisors between November 14 and December 20, 2024, found that 56% respondents are now likely to invest in crypto in 2025, following the US elections results in 2024.

The survey’s key finds include:

Increased Crypto Allocations:

The financial advisors informed bitwise that the crypto allocations in the client accounts have doubled, with 22% of advisors reporting they allocated funds to crypto assets in 2024, up by 11% in 2023.

Growing Client Interest:

With major crypto backing in the elections, crypto community has made it clear that they hold a great importance in the field of politics as well. Financial advisors have informed Bitwise that 96% of their clients have asked for or about crypto investments in the last year.

Commitment to Crypto:

After the elections, people understood the power of cryptocurrency and its community. 99% of the financial advisors confirmed that they plan on growing their portfolio in the coming years.

Barriers to Adoption:

The financial advisor also brought to light that even though Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs were approved in 2024, 35% of the advisors still face barriers when trying to buy crypto in client accounts, with 50% citing regulatory uncertainty as a prominent barrier in the process.

The survey’s results suggest that the financial advisors are becoming increasingly bullish on crypto, with many planning to increase their allocations in 2025. However, regulatory uncertainty and access barriers remain significant challenges to widespread adoption.
