Binance Futures Will Launch BR And PLUME Perpetual Contracts Following YZis Plume Investment
Binance Futures will launch BR and PLUME USDT-margined perpetual contracts following Binance’s Bedrock token generation event and YZi’s investment in Plume.
According to a recent notice, the crypto exchange will launch BRUSDT Perpetual Contract and PLUMEUSDT (USDT) Perpetual Contract. Both perpetual contracts will be available on Binance Futures starting March 21, with the BRUSDT launching first at 12:45 UTC and the AEROUSDT perpetual contract releasing at 13:00 UTC.
Both perpetual contracts will be offered with up to 25x leverage and supported for multi-assets mode. The maximum financing rate for BRUSDT and PLUMEUSDT perpetual contracts at launch will be +2.00% and -2.00%. The funding fee calculation frequency will occur every four hours.
Just a day prior, Binance had announced that it would hold an exclusive token generation event for Bedrock on PancakeSwap (CAKE). The event took place on March 20 from 10:00 AM UTC to 12:00 PM UTC. Eligible users received a total of 50 million BR, or 5% of the total token supply.
Bedrock is a liquid restaking protocol built on BNB Smart Chain that enables Bitcoin (BTC) staking through uniBTC. uniBTC lets traders earn rewards while maintaining liquidity through BTC.
At press time, BR has gone up by more than 10% in the past 24 hours of trading. The token is currently trading hands at $0.17, having gone down 12.7% from its previous peak at $0.19. Unfortunately, Binance Future’s announcement has only led to the token slipping by nearly 6% in the past hour.
On the other hand, since the perpetual contracts were announced on Binance Futures, PLUME went up by 4%. However, it has been going down by nearly 10% in the past day. Plume’s native token is currently trading hands at $0.204.
On March 17, Binance’s investment arm, YZi Labs, announced that it has invested in Plume Network, a modular blockchain designed to bring real-world assets on-chain. According to YZi’s announcement, Plume has over 18 million wallets participating in its testnet and partnered with over 180 protocols.
Two days later, Plume’s native token surged to a new all-time high of $0.24.
