Vistara has added 62 new flights operating to and from Mumbai and Delhi, thereby signalling a 50 per cent increase in the size of the airline network. At present, the Tata-SIA airline operates 170 flights a day across 24 destinations operated by a fleet of 23 Airbus A320 and six Boeing 737-800NG aircraft.

Following this new addition, Vistara will now offer direct flights from Mumbai to ten Indian cities such as Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Chennai, Varanasi, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad and Kolkata. Additionally, the airline has increased frequency on Mumbai – Kolkata sector (three times);  Mumbai – Goa(tow-times) Mumbai – Bengaluru( six times) ; Mumbai – Hyderabad (three times) Delhi – Chandigarh (four times); Delhi – Guwahati (two-times); Delhi – Amritsar(two times); Delhi – Kolkata ( four times); and Delhi – Bengaluru ( six times) daily.

Sanjiv Kapoor, chief strategy and commercial officer, Vistara, said, “Our frequent fliers have often expressed their wish to see Vistara add more flights and frequencies from Mumbai and Delhi to key destinations, and we’re happy that we are now able to announce these new flights and additional frequencies.

“These new flights also help us meet peak season travel demand amidst the prevailing capacity crunch in the market, especially in the full-service space.”

To celebrate this network expansion, Vistara has announced a 48-hour ‘Grand Monsoon Sale’ with fares starting from ₹1,299 for economy class, ₹1,999 for premium economy, and ₹4,999 for business class. This is valid for bookings until June 19, and for travel between July 3 and September 26, 2019.  A minimum of 15 days advance purchase is required for economy and premium economy class bookings; and a minimum of three days advance purchase is required for business class.
