Marriott has signed a deal to bring the first St Regis hotel to Oman in 2022.

The St Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort will be on a beachfront within development Al Mouj (“the wave”) Muscat.

It will have 271 rooms and 170 residential units, and guests will get access to a 360-berth marina with shops and restaurants.

The property will also offer a butler service and have a pool, spa, gym and leisure club, five restaurants, a bar, and a 1,100 sqm ballroom.

The Al Mouj Muscat development also features a Greg Norman-designed 18-hole championship golf course, as well as a marina, residential, retail and dining space.

Commenting on the news Alex Kyriakidis, managing director for the Middle East and Africa at Marriott International, said:

“The signing of St Regis in Oman is a natural progression for the brand’s portfolio, as the brand continues to become one of the most recognised and sought-after luxury hotel brands in the region.”

St Regis debuted in Hong Kong earlier this year and is scheduled to launch in Australia in 2022.
