It is the fifth hotel in Stockholm-based Scandic’s ‘signature collection’, joining Haymarket by Scandic and Downtown Camper in Stockholm, the Grand Hotel Oslo and Hotel Norge in Bergen.
The properties have more individual design themes and provide social venues and events for locals as well as guests.
Marski by Scandic will host art exhibitions and visiting DJs at its Marski Bar.
Meanwhile Kuusi Palaa restaurant will serve Finnish classics with an “international twist”.
Interiors are inspired by dark green Finnish woods and the country’s many lakes, while artwork includes images of nature by local photographer Seppo Alanko.
