The seat converts into a 198cm fully flat bed, and other features include direct aisle access for all passengers, a back massage option, a lockable compartment for stowing belongings (which also has a built-in mirror), a recessed bottle holder, multiple charging sockets and a wireless charging option.
The airline also said that “Thanks to various innovations, the seats and their fittings are 10-15 per cent lighter than other business class seats in this market segment, thereby contributing to KLM’s sustainability objectives”.
According to the LinkedIn post above, the first B777 featuring the new seat has operated a flight one of KLM’s South African destinations (which one was not specified).
