Also slated to open in June, Solaz in Los Cabos will be the Luxury Collection’s first hotel in Baja California Sur, Mexico. Designed by architectural firm Sordo Madaleno, the resort pays tribute to traditional Mexican culture with desert landscape style and original art by Mexican artist Cesar Negrete. The hotel boasts 128 rooms and 21 residences on a 34-acre stretch of land. In addition to 380 metres of white sand beaches, the resort also features 50-metre infinity pools overlooking the Sea of Cortez. Along with exercise facilities and a 3,000 sqm spa, the resort offers event space to accommodate up to 1,000 people. The resort will feature four dining venues; guests can enjoy seafood at Al Pairo, tapas at Cascabel, freshly grilled steaks at Mako or cocktails and wine at La Cava.
