Commenting on the opening Jenna Hackett, global head, Curio Collection by Hilton, said:

“With the Latin American travel and tourism economy growing nearly three percent last year [according to data from the World Travel and Tourism Council], we have focused our regional development in markets such as Uruguay, where we can further expand our brands’ presence.

“Through our partnership with World Trade Center Montevideo, we are looking forward to introducing guests to Curio Collection by Hilton and offering unique, authentic experiences that reflect the independent spirt of each of our hotels within the Collection.”

Hilton launched the Curio Collection in 2014, and has grown the brand to over 80 properties worldwide.

Recent openings include 100 Queen’s Gate Hotel in London, The Legend Hotel Lagos Airport, and Umbral in Mexico City.
