Meanwhile, the hotel’s 1,535 sqm event space has been completely renovated and a new grand ballroom with more gathering space has been created. Sliding partitions have also been incorporated into the meeting rooms so that they can break down into smaller spaces to host concurrent events of varying sizes.

Finally the renovations included the creation of Texas’ first Krigler perfume store in the hotel lobby. The apothecary-style 74 sqm boutique offers the full range of Krigler’s existing perfumes, scented candles, soaps and also hosts workshops to make scented candles and perfumes onsite.

Tom Segesta, the hotel’s general manager, said:

“There’s no better way to celebrate our 40th anniversary than with the completion of the Hotel’s magnificent transformation. Our downtown destination is now better than ever, and we’re looking forward to sharing more great experiences with our guests and our beloved city of Houston as we move forward.”

To celebrate the hotel is offering all dinner guests of Bayou and Bottle and Toro Toro a complimentary Sparkling Ruby cocktail (in homage to its ruby anniversary) until April 30, 2022.
