Mumbai just got its newest business hotel this week and we were among the first ones to check it out. Over a decadent Asian lunch hosted by the homegrown hotel chain’s chairperson, Priya Paul, we got a sneak peek of the modern hotel.

Where is it?

The Park Mumbai is located at Juhu Tara Road, a 20-minute drive from the domestic airport. It is situated within easy driving distance from the main business neighbourhoods like Bandra and Andheri, and at the heart of the trendy Juhu stretch, buzzing with bars, restaurants and the beach, just across the street.

What’s It Like

The Park Mumbai, just like its counterparts across the country is design heavy, given the chain’s commitment to creating design-centric properties. Designed by Sanjay Puri, the hotel’s burnt orange and fuchsia windows stand out as soon as I arrive. The tastefully done lobby is resolutely modern and has different spaces that open out into each other — like the all-day restaurant Meishi (Asian and Indian) and a little lobby lounge to enjoy a quick coffee or cocktail.

The 60-room hotel features rooms and suites in different categories, including a soon-to-be-ready Presidential on the 6th floor. All rooms have views of either the Arabian Sea or the Juhu Aerodrome. I absolutely loved the feel of the rooms, with the monochromatic colour palette and a minimalist vibe. The rooms have a business-chic vibe and the overall decor puts you at ease, giving a sense of comfort and understated elegance.
