Emirates has announced a number of customer experience initiatives for this summer, including inflight mocktails, fresh strawberries and free ice cream.
Customers travelling through Dubai International in the coming weeks will be able to visit one of six ice cream carts in the airport’s departure areas, where they can choose from flavours including vanilla, Arabic coffee and dates, and mango sorbet.
The carts will be open from Friday to Sunday between June 23 and July 16.
All passengers travelling to or from the UK during July will be offered inflight strawberries, which the carrier says have been “grown in perfect conditions in Bustanica vertical farm in Dubai, without any pesticides or herbicides”.
First class customers will also be served strawberry tarts with compote, or rhubarb and strawberry charlotte served with whipped cashew cream and custard, while business class passengers will be offered white chocolate cheesecake served with strawberry basil confit or strawberry éclair – a choux pastry filled with crème anglaise, topped with fresh seasonal strawberries.
