Regional airline Bmi and flag carrier Air France have signed a new codeshare agreement on routes between Bristol and France.

The new deal – which is effective for travel from May 14 –  gives Bmi customers on the carrier’s Bristol-Paris CDG route onward access to 25 French cities through Air France.

The move coincides with Bmi’s decision to increase the frequency of flights on its Bristol-Paris route. The carrier currently offers a twice daily service between the two cities, but from May 14 will add a third service on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Commenting on the codeshare Jochen Schnadt, Bmi’s chief commercial officer of Bmi, said:

“This new partnership delivers additional connectivity for the South West and South Wales region, enabling even more people to fly straight from their local airport, as well as offering French corporate and leisure customers the advantage of superior access to Bristol, the South West of England and Wales.”
